Hitachi Software Employs Packeteer Technology to Deliver High-Performance Interactive Videoconferencing Solution

ALAMEDA, CALIFORNIA, December 08, 2003 — Hitachi Software today announced that Packeteer's Affiliate Partner Program has officially accepted Hitachi Software's application as Packeteer authorized reseller. The acceptance marks Hitachi Software's official endorsement of Paketeer Products and dedication to use the products in Hitachi Software's Interactive Videoconference Solution.

Packeteer's PacketShaper manages Internet traffic performance across wide-area networks, it monitors and controls traffic to help provide mission-critical applications the bandwidth needed to operate efficiently. It lets network administrators prioritize IP traffic by the usual classifications of IP address, subnet and TCP or UDP application. These features are very important for Hitachi Software Interactive Videoconference Solution.

The solution is offered over an IP-based network to improve videoconferencing performance by integrating Internap's intelligent routing technology and Packeteer's Application Traffic Management systems.
