Hitachi Software Engineering America Bolsters Service To Spanish-Speaking Market: Introduces Spanish Interactive Training CD

Valuable Training CD provides StarBoard® customers in Mexico, Central America and South America with the essentials of Hitachi StarBoard Software

ORLANDO, FLORIDA, October 18, 2005 — In a move that provides the Spanish-speaking world with greater access to its industry-leading interactive StarBoard presentation products, Hitachi Software has released a complete audio and video interactive training CD for its Spanish-speaking customers in Mexico, Central America and South America.

The training CD is the ultimate source for Spanish speakers to master the fundamentals of using Hitachi StarBoard Software. The StarBoard Spanish training CD will be included with every StarBoard system shipped to Spanish-speaking countries.

The training video is presented in a user friendly, three screen window format. An interactive index of topics covered allows users to select a topic at the chapter or subchapter level. When the CD is running, users can jump between any topics.

Above the topic index is an audio-enabled video of the StarBoard expert trainer demonstrating the selected topic. Finally, a large window displays a screen capture of the selected chapter's topic being demonstrated by a StarBoard expert trainer. This window allows the viewer to actually see the software being run in the demonstration in real-time, just as if the expert were in the room with them.

Between the video and index windows are Play, Pause and Stop controls, so that the entire session can be paused at any time while the user engages the concurrently-running StarBoard Software to practice the activity they just observed and learned. To return to the training video, the user simply minimizes the StarBoard toolbar, clicks Play in the video window, and the training video resumes.

The StarBoard family includes the StarBoard P-Series Interactive Plasma Displays, often used in boardroom or small classroom applications and is ideal for rich media conferencing; the StarBoard F-Series Interactive Whiteboards, popular for K-12 and small business applications; the StarBoard T-Series Interactive LCD Displays, which are widely used with projectors in lecture halls or larger rooms or otherwise on their own for interactive training and education, and the BT series of interactive wireless Bluetooth tablets which provide mobility in any environment while running the StarBoard Software.
